Glastonbury organisers are set to encourage campers at the festival to use tent pegs made out of potatoes.
Michael Eavis has called on people attending the event to use the biodegradable pegs because the metal equivalent can harm the cows on Worthy Farm if they are left behind in the geround.
Speaking to the BBC Eavis said: "We're going to buy a biodegradable tent peg this year, but it is very stout actually. They use it in the turf industry and we've just discovered it.
"So we're going to force people to use the tent pegs and not use the wire ones. Potato starch, they're actually made from."
Organisers have tested several prototypes of tent peg before deciding that the potato based version is the best.
Registration for tickets for this years Glastonbury festival opens today (February 1).
