Details of a new four day festival set for Liverpool have been announced by organisers.
Called Liverpool Sound City the event will take place over four days from May 27-30 across twenty venues in the city centre.
Organisers are promising a line up “of the coolest zeitgeist bands and artists this planet currently has on offer”.
The festival will have a yearly theme with 2008’s event concentrating on the “DIY generation” with organisers aiming to create a similar event to SXSW and In The City.
Tickets for the festival will cost £60 (£50 early bird) for all the evening shows, £100 for the daytime conference and £140 (£120 early bird) for the gigs and conference.
A launch event for the festival will take place on February 14 at the Barfly with live performances coming from The Rascals, The Delta Fiasco and Ezra Bang and Hot Machine.
