Amy Winehouse has turned to Marilyn Monroe for help during her stay in rehab, according to her father.
Mitch Winehouse said that his daughter has been “suffering horrific withdrawal symptoms” since she entered London’s Capio Nightingale Hospital last Thursday.
"One thing helping Amy is her Marilyn Monroe films. Amy loves ‘Some Like It Hot’. She’s a huge fan of Monroe and thinks she’s wonderful,” he said.
He also told the Sun that his daughter hadn’t had any visitors since she was admitted to the clinic following the publication of a video allegedly showing her smoke crack cocaine.
“Amy’s battling bravely against addiction. She’s had no visitors because we didn’t want her to get emotional. Hopefully doctors will let us see her today,” he said.
It’s still not known whether Winehouse will perform at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on February 10th where she nominated for six awards.
