Heavy metal legends Judas Priest are believed to be amongst the acts set to appear at Download Festival 2008.

Despite many rumours, up until now organisers have stayed tight-lipped about the line-up for the highlight of the rock calendar. However, according to Virtual Festivals, Download organiser Andy Copping has hinted that the Priest will play.

He made the admission at the second fans’ forum in London, where organisers met the punters themselves to discuss the event in detail.

Many names have circulated around as appearing at this year’s Download, including AC/DC, Muse, Machine Head and Korn.

Download Festival once again takes place at Castle Donington from June 13-15.
