Britney Spears failed to regain visitation rights to her sons yesterday, after doing another disappearing act from court.
The singer arrived at the emergency hearing in her on-going custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline wearing a black, satin cocktail dress to seek a reinstatement of visitation rights - but never made it as far as the court room.
"Very unusual events today," court public information officer Allan Parachini said.
"Britney was escorted into the courthouse by several sheriff's deputies. She made it through the weapons screening area, then turned towards a deputy and said, 'I don't want to go up there.' And she left."
In Brit’s absence Commissioner Scott Gordon refused to overturn his earlier ruling, which granted full custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James to Kevin Federline.
Parachini confirmed after the session to PageSix: "The hearing is over. The previous custody orders - in which Ms Spears has no visitation - have not changed."
"Both sides were heard in court. Notice was taken of Ms. Spears's absence by the court."
Yesterday’s court near-miss was a replay of last week's hearing, when Brit showed up at the courthouse only to depart immediately, missing a session in which she lost all access to her sons.
Two more hearings are scheduled for February.
