The woman who is now becoming increasingly synonymous with superlatives, Adele, is just 550 sales behind Basshunter’s irksome ‘Now You’re Gone’ in the race for this weekend’s number one.
Her song ‘Chasing Pavements’ went straight in at number two last week, but is now putting up a stronger fight against the internet ‘porn star’ Basshunter.
Meanwhile, Adele’s debut album ‘19’ is released next Monday (January 28) and is widely tipped to reach the top spot in what is almost certain to be a successful year for the singer.

Meanwhile, the singer starts a completely sold-out four date of the UK this coming Sunday. She plays:
Manchester, RNCM - January 27
London, Bloomsbury Theatre - 29
Glasgow, Classic Grand - February 1
Birmingham, Glee Club - 2
