Former Blur bassist Alex James will front a BBC Panorama special about the impact of the cocaine industry in Columbia.
James, who admitted in his autobiography to spending up to a million pounds on cocaine and champagne during his Blur days, travelled to the country following an invite from President Alvaro Uribe.
In the documentary, which airs next Monday (January 28th), James meets the local drugs farmers, sellers and enforcers.
According to figures, Cocaine has now overtaken coffee as Columbia’s most exported product.
The documentary is another new side project for James, who since leaving Blur has established a cheese farm and writes a regular column for a British newspaper.
