Velvet Revolver 'Jazzed' About Making New Album

Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash has said that the band are keen to make the follow-up to 2006’s ‘Libertad’ as soon as possible.

The guitarist admitted that he was “jazzed” at the prospect of recording the record after the band finish their American tour in April.

“I've been working on new ideas, and we've had a couple times where the guys all got together and worked on some stuff,” he told Billboard.

“I'm itching to see what this third record's gonna be, 'cause I think it's gonna be ****in' awesome, and I think we don't necessarily need to spend two years on the road like we did last time (for their2004 album 'Contraband')."

He added that he hopes the band can once again record with ‘Libertad’s’ producer, Brendan O'Brien, on the project.

Meanwhile, Slash also expressed a desire to work on a solo album, which would feature a host of guest vocalists, following the recording the band's new album.
