Unsigned acts, who feature three or more performers, could be in with a chance at performing at this years Glastonbury Festival, it’s been revealed.
The competition has been organised in association with Strummerville, a music charity set up in the memory of former Clash star Joe Strummer.
Bands have been asked to submit MP3s of their performances to a judging panel who will pick three a month to perform in front of industry figures at the Comedy Café in London.
The final eight bands will then go head-to-head in a online vote with the eventual winner securing a slot on the Strummerville stage at this year’s festival.
Two runners up will also have the opportunity to play at the Jersey Live Festival and the Zoothousand festival in Kent.
