The Sex Pistols are planning to record their first new material together for thirty years.
The punk rockers reformed for another reunion tour late last year, in what was expected to be the usual run of money-spinning gigs before the four members retired to their slightly bigger homes.
However, according to drummer Paul Cook, the Pistols are actually considering stepping back into the recording studio together - if they can coordinate their schedules that is.
He says, “There's talk of new material. The only problem is that it's a bit hard to work on anything as John (Lydon) and Steve (Jones) are in America and Glen (Matlock) and I are in the U.K.. so it's a case of finding the time to get together.
"We might not pull together an album but hopefully there will be some new stuff in time for the summer."
The band will be playing the Isle of Wight Festival in June.

- Please please please don’t do it. Although it is too late now for those of us who were there in London in 76-77 to preserve the memory of those unbelievable gigs - as it’s now been diluted by all these cabaret-style reunions, please leave your musical legacy intact and up there where it belongs, amongst the greatest albums of all time. If I wanted to hear what a new Pistols album would sound like in 2008 I’d buy a Green Day LP.
