My Morning Jacket have confirmed that their new album will be released on June 10, Stateside at least.
The release of their first record since 2005’s critically lauded ‘Z’ will be followed by a very special show at New York’s Radio City on June 20.
The concert is being billed as “an evening with” the band and is just one of three gigs they’re confirmed to play this year. Also up and coming is their previously announced show at South by Southwest and its March 10 warm-up at Houston's Verizon Wireless Theatre.
It’s expected that the band will be previewing material from their as-yet-untitled new record on the March dates.
Recorded with producer/engineer Joe Chiccarelli, guitarist Carl Broemel told Billboard: “The record is different in a way I don't even think any of us realized until we started recording."
