An exhibition of photographs taken by Linda McCartney will go on display this April, with the full support of her former husband, Sir Paul McCartney.
The former Beatle said that the exhibition, which will take place at London’s James Hyman Gallery, “was long overdue.”
"James Hyman, my daughter Mary, and I have worked on it now for three years, and the result is a sensitive selection of works that really demonstrates Linda's prodigious output as a photographer,” he said in a statement.
Linda McCartney died following a battle with cancer in 1998. After marrying in 1969, the couple had three children together.
The exhibition, which will run from April 24th to June 7th, comprises of personal and family photographs taken between the 1960s and late 1990s, and includes rare portraits of iconic rock stars.
Photographs of Mick Jagger, John Lennon and Jim Morrison will all feature in the exhibition.
Limited edition prints, with a signed certificate of authenticity from Sir Paul McCartney, will be available at the gallery.
