REM frontman Michael Stripe has been dismissed as a potential juror in an American court case because he has been the victim of stalkers and death threats.
Stipe told a Superior Court Judge in Clark County yesterday (January 14th) that he felt this would prevent him from being impartial and fair.
The REM star was among more than a dozen people who were released from the jury in the trial of a man accused of entering a school and attempting to assault a female pupil.
Other members of the potential jury are understood to have said that they had already made their minds up about the suspect’s case, reports AP.
