Ex-Easyworld member David Ford finds himself releasing 'I'm Alright Now' taken from his second debut album 'Songs For The Road'. On the back of supporting slots with KT Tunstall, Richard Ashcroft, Elvis Costello and Suzanne Vega as well as finding the time to tour on the back of his own album release it's clear to see that this lone starlet is certainly making a name for himself.
'I'm Alright Now' is a soaring epic of bleeding emotions in which Ford expresses the deep depressing lows, hardships and pitfalls he has endured in life, that have led to love and ultimately a sense of happiness. Ford's vocals are reminiscent of the sonic balladry of James Blunt or his 70's compatriot David Essex. Flowing strings and acoustics build to a harmonious battery which is unquestionably of Goo Goo Doll proportions.
Released 14/01/08 on Independiente.
