Kooks frontman Luke Pritchard has revealed that he’s concerned that fans might boo the band’s new material.
The group are due to release their follow-up to 2006’s ‘Inside In/Inside Out’, entitled ‘Konk’, on April 4th.
“You do worry with new material in case you get booed off,” he said. “We love the new stuff and really buzz off playing it, but there’s always the worry that other people may not get it or like it.”
In an interview with the Daily Star, Pritchard also said that he’s conscious about what other bands think of him as a frontman.
"I am a totally anxious person. If I meet someone from a band, I think: ‘Oh God, does he think I’m a knob?’
"Some bands are very paranoid and have a preconceived idea about you. We all get accused of slagging each other off so everyone’s dubious of one another.”
"In another situation you might be best mates but instead you’re just edgy around them," he added.
As previously reported, the band will play three intimate shows in the UK later this month. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased through Gigwise by clicking the link below.
