Former Guns ‘N Roses star Slash has insisted that his new autobiography doesn’t glamorise hard drugs.
In the self-titled book, the 42-year-old explains his experiences with drugs and alcohol during his long career.
The guitarist, who is now sober, has dismissed claims that the book sets a bad example to young musicians and fans.
"I've been told more explicit, negative stuff about drugs (than is in my book) and I still did them,” he said.
“If you're smart, you'll see where it (the book) starts and where it ends up and you'll go, 'It seems like a pain in the ass’.”
He added, however, that he doesn’t have any regrets about his past. “At the same time, there was a lot of fun,” he said.
