Keith Baxter, the former drummer of late nineties indie-rock outfit 3 Colours Red, has died of liver failure.
Just aged 36, he was surrounded by his friends and family when he passed away from a Gastro-intestinal Haemorrhage on January 4.
His partner Rachel said of his death: “'Keith's sudden death has left us all in shock and words cannot express the how much he meant to us all. He was a loving, kind, gentle and talented man who lived life. He was a loving, kind, gentle and talented man who lived life.”
“Those of us who had the pleasure of sharing part of his life with him will hold the memories close to our heart and part of him will always be with us.”
A statement on the band’s website reads: “Our much loved friend Keith Baxter died peacefully on the 4th January 2008 in the Royal Lancaster Infirmary from a Gastro-intestinal Haemorrahage aged 36. He was surrounded by his loving family. Keith's partner Rachel, twin Garry and brothers Kev and Neil would like to thank everyone for their kind messages and support at this tragic time.”
3 Colours Red were signed to Alan McGee’s Creation imprint before they disbanded in 1999. They reformed again in 2002, but a lack of commercial success caused their demise in 2005.
