Sir Paul McCartney turned down the chance to go and see Babyshambles play live last year, according to reports.
The former Beatle was apparently invited by frontman Pete Doherty to watch the band play Wembley Arena last November but declined the invitation.
According to his spokesperson, McCartney had commitments in America which prevented him from attending the show.
However, the Mirror claims that McCartney shunned going to the gig because “going to a sweaty Babyshambles gig wasn't really his thing."
The pair first met in 2007 when Doherty interviewed McCartney as part of a regular supplement in a Sunday newspaper.
