Kasabian were joined onstage by none other than Noel Gallagher during their headlining Hogmanay show at Edinburgh Princes Street Gardens.
Leicester’s finest played an eleven track set to tens of thousands of revellers at the huge Scottish event, with Mr Gallagher joining them for the ultimate three songs of the set – ‘Club Foot’, ‘Stuntman’ and ‘LSF.’
According to the Scotsman, band frontman Tom Meighan was his typical chirpy self, telling the crowd at the end of the 60 minute set: "Edinburgh, you've been ****ing empire. I love you. I didn't want to be anywhere else tonight."
Shortly before the closing ‘LSF’, Meighan poignantly dedicated the track to Motherwell captain Phil O’Donnell who tragically died of a seizure as he left the field of play during his team’s match last Saturday.
The set-list was as follows:
Shoot The Runner
Reason Is Treason
Cutt Off
Me Plus One
Empire
Processed Beats
ID
The Doberman
Club Foot
Stuntman
LSF
