We’ve only just made it and anthem to remember 2008 for has already sprung itself into the air. ‘Waving Flags’ has probably been planned to be sung at the next Glastonbury and Reading/Leeds festivals, simply on the basis of its title and scale of sound. Huge. This is absolutely fucking huge. British Sea Power will be returning next year with their third album, ‘Do You Like Rock Music?’ and what better way to wet our appetites with the richest and most gigantic sounding song ever to released from their catalogue? Name-checking such outrageously naughty substances as alcohol and ecstasy, lead singer Yan sounds more triumphant than ever, and right here we truly have one of the greatest songs ever to let yourself go to. With the sun beaming down on your neck and the sounds of British Sea Power blasting out of the 20 foot high speakers, you will be dancing with joy at your chosen festival for 2008, guaranteed.
