Phil Spector has launched a second lawsuit against his former Attorney Robert Shapiro in Los Angeles Superior Court.
Spector, who is seeking $1 million, claims that Shaprio used their personal relationship to unjustly earn himself money after he was arrested in 2003.
He also claims that Shaprio used his arrest to “garner publicity for himself."
The music producer dropped a similar lawsuit against the attorney in December 2005 on the grounds that he could re-start the case at a later date.
Spector hired Shaprio following his arrest on suspicion of murdering b-movie actress Lana Clarkson at his Los Angeles home in 2003. He then fired the attorney and his legal team in 2004.
Spector was represented by a different legal team at his murder trial earlier this year.
The trial, which lasted several months, ended in a hung decision with the Jury unable to reach a verdict. A retrial will begin in 2008, reports AP.
