Feist may still be glowing in the success of her Grammy nominated album ‘The Reminder’ but that hasn’t stopped her working on new material.
The Canadian singer/songwriter says she has several new ideas in the pipeline but that there is no rush to get to work on a new album.
She told Billboard: "I'm tiptoeing into some new terrain. There's no necessity and no timeline. 'The Reminder,' I can't say it just came out, but it feels like it did. I'm not quite at the point where I think I should be thinking about another record.
"These songs, there's nothing forcing them to come, yet here's some ideas," she adds. "It's really a ways away though."
Recently Feist says that she spent the day in a studio on a rare day off and fooled around on some new stuff".
She also worked with Death Cab For Cutie’s Ben Gibbard on a track that will eventually appear on the ‘Red Hot And Indie’ compilation being produced by Aaron and Bryce Dessner of The National.
"I think that's how we're going to start using our time off," she said.
