    Amy Winehouse Arrested By Police

Amy Winehouse has been arrested by police in connection with an ongoing investigation into perverting the course of justice.

Winehouse’s husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, is currently being held in Pentonville Prison charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice in relation to an assault case.

The singer went to a Police Station in Hackney, East London earlier today (December 18th) where she was arrested in a “pre-arranged” agreement with police.

"A 24-year-old woman has been arrested by appointment at an East London police station in connection with an investigation into perverting the course of justice,” a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said.

Winehouse has since been released on bail, reports the BBC.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the singer said: "Amy Winehouse attended a London police station today on a voluntary basis at a pre-agreed time.

“She was arrested, as is common practice, she is being interviewed by police. No charges have been brought."

Fielder-Civil is due to appear in court next January along with three other men who have been charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice.

He husband was arrested in November shortly before he was due to go on trial along with another man accused of attacking a pub landlord in Hoxton in June 2006.

The arrest came after a newspaper claimed that the landlord was offered money not to testify.

All four men are expected to go on trial next summer.

    • Who let Winehouse go in for questioning without first getting drug poisons out of her system and withdrawal symptoms well past ??? England’s ”reduced participation” standard encourages this protection. The silly ”Rehab” song is no excuse for putting a young, lightly educated, female musician at risk of her freedom and the course of her life. These advisors could usefully lock themselves in a broom closet with thugs Doherty and Johnny Headlock, who were still allowed
