French dance duo Justice have become something of a hit in 2007. Their debut record ‘†’ features in Gigwise’s very own albums of the year list and it’s no surprise. Letting rip on all fours, latest single with two-parts, ‘Phantom’ is a prime example of the album, containing all the bombastic elements displayed on every other track. And if we’re comparing, it’s for sure that the second part of this double single is the winner of the two. A high pitched synth noise comes out of nowhere, getting people to wave their arms around instead of just tapping their feet. Next year, expect the indie-dance scene to explode with the help of Justice, who’ll be hailed as the true saviour of the genre. In years to come, we’ll all be listening to Justice with a sense of nostalgia, being reminded of the more out-of-control moments of 2007.
Released 17/12/07 on Because Music.
