An unknown singer has been picked as the new frontman of metal legends Anthrax.
Dan Nelson - previously a jobbing New York singer - got the go-ahead to replace Joey Belladonna after a ten-hour jam session with guitarist Rob Caggiano, who he enjoyed a casual friendship with.
The position had been vacant after a successful reunion tour with Belladonna turned sour when the band got off the road.
Nelson is now recording new material as part of the new line-up, although two vintage Anthrax albums 'Sound of White Noise' and 'Stomp 442' are soon to be launched into the digital age with a rerelease on iTunes on Tuesday.
