Tickets for the opening night of the Spice Girls residency in London have been selling for up to £1,000 each.
The band will begin their seventeen-night residency at the O2 Arena in London tomorrow (December 15th) following shows in Canada and the US earlier this month.
Despite reports of low ticket sales for a show in Las Vegas, tickets are currently selling for 77% above their face value.
Joe Cohen, CEO and founder of Seatwave said: “As the biggest girl band ever, you would expect the Spice Girls’ reunion tour to attract huge numbers, and it certainly is.”
He continued: “Understanding how much fans are willing to pay to get hold of sought after concert tickets can really tell a story about the group, and the Spice Girls are obviously still as popular with the fans as ever.”
The Spice Girls will play three nights at the O2 Arena this month before playing their final fifteen nights in January.
Tickets for the initial shows in London sold out in 38-seconds earlier this year prompting the group to add further dates in London and Manchester.
