The Police’s reunion world tour was the biggest grossing tour of 2007, according to official figures.
The band sold over 1.8 million tickets to their comeback concerts - which grossed a total of $212 million.
Genesis were second in the Billboard Boxscore list, which accumulates all ticket sales prior to November 13th.
The band’s 46-date Turn It On Again Tour - which saw them play in stadiums across the United States and Europe - grossed $129 million.
According to the figures, the most attractive concert to fans this year was Prince’s residency at the O2 Arena in London. The 21 performances earned $22 million.
The top-3 was completed by Justin Timberlake’s FutureSex/LoveSounds tour, which took $126.8 million after more than 1.6 million people watched the artist perform across the world.
