‘Lazy Bones’ is an indie stomper that boasts vocals reminiscent of Supergrass and a lads swagger to the guitars that once again proves that “if it ain’t Stiff it ain’t worth a ****”. Fans of The Enemy and Pigeon Detectives will love The Displacements and this catchy song, which bristles with all the right kind of hooks that keep you hanging on to every last note. B-side ‘Amie’ still carries the same confidence of ‘Lazy Bones’ but it’s much more ‘House Of The Rising Sun.’ To pull off such a strong but stripped back blues song you have to be good, really good, which judging by this single, The Displacements are.
Released 17/12/07 on Stiff Records.
