Arctic Monkeys are discussing alternative ways the release new material ahead of their third album.
Drummer Matt Helders said that the band want to record and release their new songs as soon as possible.
"We've got things written, several new ideas and new songs that are ready to record. We will do recording early on,” he told BBC 6Music.
“We might not necessarily record and then release an album. We might just do little bits once or (release) singles."
Helders added that it would be a “nice change” to not have to work to a deadline.
The band recently released two new songs, ‘Death Ramps’ and ‘Nettles,’ under the band pseudonym, The Death Ramps.
The two songs were also the b-sides to their latest single, ‘Teddy Picker.’
