Green Day are rumoured to have started a side project under the moniker Foxboro Hot Tubs.
The punk-pop trio are currently busy writing and recording the follow-up to 2004’s ‘American Idiot’, but speculation is rife that they’ve even found time to start a brand spanking new band.
Foxboro Hot Tubs (FHT) have recently released a retro, sixties inspired six track mini-album ‘Stop Drop the Roll!’ through their website – a domain that Green Day point to from their own site.
MTV also claims that every single song on the album sounds almost exactly the same as Billie Joe Armstrong and co.
So far the trio have stayed quiet on whether it’s them. If it is, it won’t be the first time Green Day have launched a spin off – in 2003 they released songs under the name The Network.
