Lily Allen has been selected to be part of the judging panel for the 2008 Orange Broadband Prize for Fiction.
Deciding who scoops the coveted £30,000 prize alongside the singer will be Newsnight presenter Kirsty Lang, writer Bel Mooney, novelist Philippa Gregory and journalist Lisa Allardice.
The shortlist for the prize will be announced in April, then Allen and the other four judges will unveil the ultimate winner in June.
Kirsty Lang said of next year’s award: “I was extremely honoured to be asked to chair this year’s Orange Broadband Prize, if not a little daunted by the task.
“However, I do have a strong line-up of judges, which should make for some lively debates.”
