Supergrass’ Gaz and Danny are set to perform a series of intimate shows this week under the pseudonym Diamond Hoo Ha Men.
The duo took this bizarre moniker from the Supergrass’ single of the same name which hits the shelves through Parlophone Records on January 14.
In total, the pair will be performing six dates as the Diamond Hoo Ha Men – three in London and shows in Manchester, Nottingham and Leeds.
Gaz has taken the alias of singer/guitarist Duke Diamond, while Danny is drummer Randy Hoo Ha in a weird press release which describes the duo.
The release reads: “Diamond Hoo Ha Men were conceived in Berlin. Childhood friends since kindergarten, Duke Diamond & Randy Hoo Ha started out playing Rammstein covers as part of a local residency. During this time they discovered they had an almost Jagger/Richards-esque knack for song writing. They soon left Berlin for the bright lights of London where they now live...together.
”Duke & Randy are infamously inseparable and although not officially partners, they share the same bed (Duke always on the right, Randy on the left), eat, drink and bath together. It's true they have a volatile relationship, but there's no doubting this 'Odd Couple' make very special music.”
Danny and Gaz will be playing the following shows:
Panic @ Leeds Cockpit – December 12
Radar @ Nottingham Bodega - 13
XFM Xposure @ Manchester Night & Day - 14
The Fun @, London, The Old Blue Last - 15
Push @ London Astoria 2 (late gig) - 15
Clash Club @ London Madam Jo Jo's - 17
