Arctic Monkeys Writing Songs About Jeremy Kyle

Arctic Monkeys have reportedly written a song about chat show host Jeremy Kyle.

Speaking about possible material for their third album, drummer Matt Helders said that the unusual track was written on the road last summer.

“We had a power cut on the bus and while we were parked at the side of the road I got this acoustic guitar out,” he told the Big Issue.

“Some people were still in bed but we did this song for about six minutes about Jeremy Kyle. About this lie detector test.”

When asked when the band were going to begin recording the new material, bassist Nick O’Malley joked that they were going to record it all over “one wacky weekend.”
