Slash: 'I Could Be Amy Winehouse's Drinking Partner'

Former Guns’n’Roses guitarist Slash has reportedly said that he and Amy Winehouse could be drinking buddies.

Despite now being clean, Slash said that the pair’s shared love of alcohol would give them an instant bond if they ever met.

"Amy talks a lot about how much she can drink and I put a lot of booze away in my day,” Slash said. “If I was still drinking I'm sure we'd be hanging out."

As previously reported, Winehouse picked up six nominations yesterday (December 6th) for the 50th Grammy Awards ceremony which takes place in Los Angeles next February.

The singer was recognised in both the Best Album and Song categories, while Kanye West led the nominees with eight nominations.
