Dizzee Rascal has paid his respects to the late US rapper Pimp C who was found dead in his Los Angeles hotel room yesterday (December 4th).
Paramedics were called to the scene but the rapper, real name Chad Butler, was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Rascal said that Butler’s music helped him “through a lot of hard times growing up,” describing his death as “Tragic”.
“I was lucky enough to work with Pimp before he left us and although outspoken at times personally I found him to be one of the humblest and most generous people I have ever come across,” Rascal told MTV.
“A true legend, he will be sadly missed but I know his legacy will live on."
Pimp C famously appeared alongside Bernard ‘Bun B’ Freeman in the group Underground Kingz (UGK), who featured on Jay-Z’s ‘Big Pimpin.’
