Radiohead have revealed that their ‘pay what you like’ In Rainbows download will be finishing next Monday (December 10).
It will be two months to the day since the Oxford band released the album in the revolutionary way. Under the apt title ‘The End of the Beginning’, they said of the idea: “It’s been the most positive thing we’ve done and we hope you shared the experience with others.”
The In Rainbows box set is still available from w.a.s.t.e, however when the current batch of stock runs out the band say that they have no plans to make any further stock.
The record will be available as a traditional vinyl/CD and download from December 31 on XL Records in Europe and in North America on TBD Records.
As reported earlier today, the band have released the first batch of tickets for their 2008 UK and Ireland dates here. If you’re unlucky enough not to get your hands on some, come back to Gigwise at 10am on Friday as a fresh batch will be released.
