Damon Albarn and a former director-general of the MI5 will both edit the Today programme on BBC Radio 4 this Christmas.
Albarn is one of a number of personalities who have been asked to ‘edit’ their own version of the popular radio show.
Each of this years presenters have already been asked what theme they would like their show to take, with Albarn choosing to examine recycling.
The former Blur man will look at whether there is anything the UK can learn from the way the African nation of Mali deals with its rubbish.
Former director-general Dame Stella Rimington, meanwhile, will use her show to examine the declining trust in politics.
In the past Bono and Yoko Ono have had the responsibility of editing the programme.
