Sunderland jitter rockers The Futureheads have divulged details of a new tour next month.
The Mackem four piece - who play two home town shows at the Independent in Sunderland this Thursday and Friday (December 6th and 7th) - will play 12 university venues across Britain in January as part of the uLive student union programme of gigs.
The tour starts in Uxbridge at Brunel University Students’ Union on Jan 16th.
The new dates coincide with the release of The Futureheads’ as-yet-untitled third album, which is slated for release in May 2008.
The band will be debuting new material from the album – the follow up to 2006’s News And Tributes – on these dates.
You can get taste for what that new material might sound like by downloading their latest track, 'Broke Up The Time,' here.
Tickets go on sale on Wednesday December 5th at 9am and can be purchased through Gigwise by clicking the Buy Tickets link below.
Alternatively you can call our ticket hotline on 0871 230 1098.
