Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne have raised a massive £800,000 for charity from an auction selling off possessions from their former Beverly Hills mansion.
The couple have donated all proceeds from the sale to Sharon’s own foundation for colon cancer – a disease that she suffered from in 2002.
Amongst the lots snapped up by bidders worldwide was Ozzy’s trademark round glasses (which went for $5,230), an oversized coffee cup ($1,625), Ozzy’s ‘skull trainers’ ($2,625) and a custom built pool table ($11,250).
Darren Julien, who held the sale, said: "For a celebrity garage sale, it was pretty spectacular. We had Ozzy fans bidding against these sophisticated fine art buyers, which you don't see every day. For the most part the metalheads were outbidding the art crowd."
As reported last week, the Osbourne’s will be hosting next February’s Brit Awards ceremony.
