The Aliens have returned from an "amazing trip to the Congo" promising the release of their second album early next year.
The Scottish band - formed from the embers of the critically-acclaimed Beta Band - visited the Congo as part of Africa Express, and say the experience has reinvigorated their efforts on their new recordings.
They write on their Myspace page, "After an amazing trip to the Congo the Aliens return to Scotland refreshed and inspired, to continue making the second album.
"We hope to finish the album around the end of Jan and release it on Pet Rock Records. Live shows should commence around spring time."
