Pop veteran Kylie Minogue is reportedly to receive the Brit Awards' Outstanding Contribution gong as part of a starring role in next year's ceremony.
According to to reports in today's tabs, the Australian star was said to be an unrivalled choice to follow in the footsteps as such artists as Oasis, Duran Duran and Paul Weller on 20 February following her succesful cancer battle.
A source tells The People, "It was a pretty unanimous decision. Kylie is one of everyone's favourite artists and has repeatedly held her own in the charts in three decades.
"She has also provided inspiration to people outside music as one of the bravest and most personable people in pop."
