A West End production of Desperately Seeking Susan – which featured a number of songs from Blondie – is to close following poor ticket sales.
The stage production of the film which famously helped launch Madonna’s acting career has only been open since October 29th.
Along with past Blondie hits, the musical also featured a new song, ‘Moment Of Truth,’ written by Debbie Harry.
The musical, which will end its run on December 15th, had received a number of poor reviews, including one from the Independent which said it was "Desperately Avoiding Closure."
In July, Harry expressed a wish to see the musical eventually debut on Broadway, describing it as a “light-hearted” interpretation of the original film.
