Warner Music Group Ltd. has penned a deal with Frank Sinatra’s family to own exclusive global rights to the legend’s music, film and stage work, name and likeness.
Through the deal, brokered by Sinatra’s three children Nancy, Tina and Frank junior, the label looks to set to bag a fortune when they reissue material from his sprawling back catalogue.
The partnership has been titled Frank Sinatra Enterprises and came about after a lot of negotiation and thought.
A statement from Sinatra’s children reads: "We were extremely selective in choosing a partner with whom to manage our father's life work. It was a process that took several years."
Warners will be hoping to match the success of the deal they penned to secure the rights to Elvis Presley’s output which made almost $50million last year.
