Babyshambles headlining performance at the Wembley Arena last night has been praised by critics and fans.
Doubts had been cast over the show, the biggest of the band’s career, after ticket sales at the venue had been slow in the build-up to the event.
However, last night all standing tickets had been sold with only certain seating areas showing signs of empty seats.
Kicking off with ‘Carry On Up The Morning,’ a coherent Pete Doherty led the crowd through songs off both Babyshambles albums, ‘Down In Albion’ and ‘Shotter’s Nation.’
The performance also saw Doherty perform ‘Music When The Lights Go Out’ – a song originally penned by the Libertines.
The band’s arena tour will continue tonight in Birmingham (November 28th) and tickets for the show can be purchased through Gigwise by clicking the Buy Tickets link below.
Alternatively, you can call the Gigwise Ticket Hotline on 0871 230 1098 to get some last minute tickets.

- They were excellent last night. A far more accomplished band than they have been before - it is no longer Pete Doherty and his backing band; they are really starting to gel together. Pete was sober and professional throughout, although that’s taken away the banter he used to have with the crowd.
Overall, a great show, and proof that young Mr Doherty can pull of big gigs after all!

- Fantastic performance last night! Although I wish Pat Walden had played....it was a really brilliant gig!! I do prefer the intimate venues like Brixton Academy though but last night at Wembley was not a disappointment at all.

- What an amazing gig! I was dubious about Babyshambles playing @ a venue like Wembley but I think they pulled it off with some class. Babyshambles looked the best they have done & Pete was fantastic. The crowd in the standing area were eating out of the palm of his hand & were giving their all. I have never seen a gig so riotous when Babyshambles tore into Pipedown & F*ck Forever. A truly memorable night, I really think that Babyshambles have proven they are the best band in Britain a

- The best Babyshambles gig ever.
They sounded huge it was quite immense.

- awesome gig ! i’m not the biggest fan of babyshambles but my boyfriend idolises pete and i can say it was not a disapointment ! my bf caught a lighter frm pete himself ! and i think the support bands shud not go unnoticed - dizzee rascal and jon lean and the jin jang jong ! was awesome ! lol good night.
