Oasis have reportedly been given police protection at the Abbey Road Studios after a crazed fan attempted to attack Noel Gallagher.
The alleged incident is said to have happened after a Greek fan demanded to see Gallagher about song lyrics that he claimed to have written.
The band are currently at the London studios to record their as-yet-untitled seventh album.
According to reports, Police were called but the fan escaped before they arrived.
“He meant business and was clearly off his rocker. He claimed that he had written all this material that Noel had nicked off him for the new album,” a studio source told the Sun.
“The fella was fuming and was threatening to beat Noel up over it all. He was cursing at staff and being really threatening so the cops were called in.”
The source adds that after resolving the issue, the Police asked if they could listen to some tracks off the new album but instead they “were politely thanked for their help and shown the door.”
