Red Hot Chili Peppers star Flea has had his home completely destroyed by a Malibu wildfire.
The bassist said that his home was one of 49 that were “burnt to a crisp” as high winds and fire brought devastation to a part of California.
Luckily the 45-year-old – real name Michael Balzary – was not at the property at the time as he had recently moved and put the home on the market.
An estate agent described the property as a ‘botanical paradise’ and had put the property on the market for $4.8million.
Meanwhile the Los Angeles Country Fire Inspector Ron Haralson has confirmed that the blaze is now under control as weather conditions have changed. He said: “Winds have subsided considerably and we’re making good headway.”
