Video editor Tyler Helms has paired footage from an insect film named Microcosmos with the audio of Radiohead’s rousing track ‘All I Need.’
Seemingly spurred on by the song’s lyrics (“I am a moth who wants to share your light / I’m an insect Trying to get out of the dark”), the film features a variety of small organisms poignantly shot. Highlights include snails mating and a torrential downfall as the song climaxes. Oh yes.
As ateaseweb.com reports, Helms said of the film: “Edited with footage from the 1996 French film Microcosmos, the sensual pace and delicate melody of the song reminded me of a world much smaller than ours, with all the love and violence we experience.”
Helms famously employed a similar concept when he merged Arcade Fire’s ‘My Body Is A Cage’ with clips from the movie Once Upon A Time In The West.
