Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody is recording a solo album that apparently sounds nothing like his band’s output.
Although the frontman has stayed fairly quiet on the subject, friend Steve Bays from Hot Hot Heat let slip that he met Gary in Glasgow where he discussed his solo material.
Bays said: “He is working on a project in his home studio, he was talking to me about a bunch of stuff that doesn’t sound like Snow Patrol at all, I think he is just being creative and he is not thinking about it as a Snow Patrol project.”
He continued to BBC6music: “We were pretty much talking about that the whole time, because when you see it in his eyes and see how excited he is, it inspires you.”
