U2 have denied rumours that they are to stage a 21 night residency at London’s O2 Arena in 2008.
As reported on Gigwise earlier today several reports suggested that the band were set to follow in the footsteps of Prince and Sparks.
However, the band have now released a statement saying they have yet to book any live dates for the next twelve months.
It reads: “There are no plans for live dates next year - so please don't buy tickets for any U2 shows you see advertised.”
