The Pigeon Detectives are to continue their partnership with Stephen Street on their second album Gigwise can exclusively reveal.
Talking to their fans on our Tuborg Wednesday Webchat, the band unveiled that they have 13 demos so far and are due to enter the studio after their current UK tour.
The band recently worked with Street, who has worked with Kaiser Chiefs, The Smiths and Babyshambles, on a re-release of their single, ‘I Found Out.’
When asked to describe what fans can expect from the new LP, frontman Matt Bowman described the new tracks as “brilliant,” adding that the new material is “not exactly the same as the first [album], so it will be interesting.”
The band also unveiled that the track, ‘This Is An Emergency’ – which they are currently playing in their live show – is an early contender for one of the tracks on the new album.
Oliver Main, the band’s guitarist, said that the new album is due out next summer.
The Pigeon Detectives begin a three night residency at the Forum in London tonight (November 21st).
